Basic white sauce: (for cream peas)
3 tbls margarine
3 tbls flour
Salt
Pepper
½ can of pea juice
1 can peas, juice reserved
Potatoes, cooked
Melt margarine in saucepan. Add flour, salt, and pepper; then quickly pour in reserved pea juice, stirring constantly until thickened. After sauce is thickened, add peas. Serve over potatoes.
